El Salvador Registry of Nonprofit Organizations and Foundations.
REQUIREMENTS TO FORM AN ASSOCIATION OR FOUNDATION (NGO)
- Establish the Statutes that will govern the Association.
- Once approved, the Deed of Incorporation will be granted.
- Prepare a list of members that make up the entity.
- Elect the first Board of Directors, as established in the Statutes.
- Prepare accounting books, minutes and member registration books. These must be submitted to the Registry for legalization along with the Deed of Incorporation. association.
To register in the Registry of Non-Profit Associations and Foundations, the following requirements must be met:
- Application addressed to the Ministry of the Interior (which will be signed by the President of the Association).
- Two certified copies of the Master Deed of Incorporation of the Association or Foundation in question, also stating the approval of the Bylaws and the election of the first Board of Directors or governing body, accompanied by three copies.
- Three copies of the Bylaws with separate articles.
- Certification of the list of members of the entity, stating their nationality and identification document.
- Certification of the Minutes of the Election of the members of the Board of Directors.
- The books in which the Minutes of the General Assembly of the Board of Directors and the Register of Members, and accounting books, will be recorded.
Note: It is important to highlight that the Foreign Agents Registry – RAEX, is mandatory only for natural or legal persons, whether national or foreign, who directly or indirectly receive funds from a foreign person.
